The reciprocal health agreement between the UK and Isle of Man which allows visitors to receive free health care will end with the effect from 01 April 2010.
After 1st April 2010, if a UK resident requires treatment at the Isle of Man hospital Accident and Emergency Department, a 'walk in" centre or immediate necessary treatment from an Isle of Man GP, this will be provided free of charge. What will change is that if a UK resident has been admitted to hospital in the Isle of Man as an emergency case, charges will be made for that in-patient treatment.
