Raad ny Foillan (The Road of the Gull)

The Raad ny Foillan runs around the coast of the island and embraces some truly spectacular scenery on the way. It is 153km (95 miles) of superb walking, not too demanding and best covered over 8 days.

Over the 8 days the route will take you along some spectacular Manx coastline with a chance of spotting the awesome Basking Shark, Bottlenose Dolphins, seals and array of Sea birds, this walk is a fabulous way to see the Island as you pass through some picturesque villages and historical landmarks, giving you a real feel of Manx culture .

Here you will find a planned route of the coastal path walk which we have combined with accommodation at each stopping point and for your convenience the package includes daily luggage transfers between each property.

Route / Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrive Isle of Man staying overnight in Douglas.
  • Day 2: Douglas to Castletown (13 miles)
  • Day 3: Castletown to Port Erin (12 miles)
  • Day 4: Port Erin to Peel (16 miles)
  • Day 5: Peel – Jurby (11 miles)
  • Day 6: Jurby to Ramsey (20 miles)
  • Day 7: Ramsey to Laxey (13 miles)
  • Day 8: Laxey to Douglas (9 miles)
  • Day 9: Depart for return to UK

Based on 2 sharing twin / Double rooms (single room supplements apply) and includes, return Sea travel, 8 nights Bed & Breakfast accommodation at locations along the route and daily luggage transfers.
