Important Update: Isle of Man Visitor Travel Arrangements

We are now in a position to confirm the latest news regarding travel to and from the Isle of Man and how this relates to your holiday or short break on the Island.

As confirmed this week by the Isle of Man Parliament (Tynwald), from June 28th 2021, anyone wishing to travel to the Isle of Man for a holiday or short break from the UK or Ireland will be free to do so - as long as you have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination, with the second jab being taken two weeks or more prior to your travel date.

If you qualify to travel as a result of having had a double vaccination, we will be delighted to welcome all those with a pre-arranged booking or, indeed, for anyone who has yet to make one. The good news is that there are no on-Island Covid restrictions. The Island is, and has been for some time, completely clear of any lockdown measures. This means you will not be required to take any test, upon arrival or departure. You are at complete liberty.

We accept that not everybody who has booked with us will “qualify” to travel, based on the Isle of Man Government’s announcement. Nevertheless, we trust that the majority of people who have booked with us will have had both their doses and, therefore, will be able to visit as planned.

What if I don’t qualify?

For those who have booked to travel to the Isle of Man, but who won’t have completed their double vaccination two weeks prior to their pre-arranged departure date, unfortunately you will not be allowed to enter the Isle of Man. For anyone who falls into this category, we understand that this will not only be a huge disappointment but also extremely inconvenient. By way of recompense, we will happily reschedule your booking to a future date once you have had your two vaccinations. For those who are unable to reschedule, however, we will arrange a refund. Regrettably, our hands are tied on this one, but we trust that for most people, arranging alternative travel will be an acceptable solution.

As always, and certainly throughout this prolonged period of coronavirus uncertainty, we will do our level best at Isle of Man Events to meet your expectations – whether they can now proceed as arranged, or if they may need amending. Nevertheless, we are moving in the right direction as we can once again start welcoming visitors back to our beautiful Island.
