Day 1

Travel to Sheffield, your base for the next 4 nights.

Day 2

Visit the historic market town of Buxton, famed for its healing waters and the beautiful Pavilion Gardens, set within 23 acres of Victorian landscaping. Continue to Lyme Park and step back to the Edwardian age during Lyme’s “Golden Era”. Explore the lavish interiors, stunning gardens and enchanting lake, famously featured in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Day 3

Travel to Crich Tramway Village, a lovingly restored period village and home to the National Tramway Museum. Discover exhibitions telling the story of the tram, enjoy a ride on beautifully restored tramcars, and explore attractions including a workshop and viewing gallery, an old-fashioned sweet shop and a restored public house. Afterwards, continue to the attractive town of Ashbourne.

Day 4

Enjoy a leisurely morning before a scenic drive through the Peak District, passing Derwent Dam and Ladybower Reservoir. Later, visit the highlight of the tour, Chatsworth House and Gardens, the magnificent home of the Devonshire family and a celebrated setting for many period dramas.

Day 5

Depart the hotel and begin your homeward journey.
