The Celtic Royal hotel in Caernarfon is situated in the centre of the market town and just a 10 minute stroll from the picturesque harbour. This location is well placed for exploring North Wales, including Llandudno and Conwy. The Winter Warmer includes 2 nights live entertainment, 1 night quiz and bingo, one Christmas Dinner in the evening, mulled wine reception, indoor treasure hunt throughout your stay and tea, coffee and mince pies one afternoon.

On the tour we will also visit other attractions including ‘must-see’ Portmeirion, the National Slate Museum and Caernarfon Castle.

Day 1 - Travel to North Wales

Start the party with a stop-off at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Llangollen or Bodelwyddan Castle on the way. Once at the hotel we will enjoy a mulled wine reception. Enjoy a three-course meal followed by live entertainment.

Day 2 - Llandudno and Conwy

This morning we spend time in the pretty seaside town of Llandudno. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore and long pier to stroll down.  During the afternoon visit the pretty harbour town of Conwy with its imposing castle, meander through the quaint streets before heading back to the hotel to enjoy tea/coffee and mince pies, with time to relax before dinner and bingo/quiz evening.

Day 3 - National Slate Museum and Caernarfon Castle

This morning we visit the National Slate Museum. Here you can travel into the past of an industry and a way of life that has chiselled itself into the very being of this country. In the afternoon we return to Caernarfon where we explore the castle and the old town. After a Christmas three-course dinner we will be entertained once again this evening.

Day 4 - Visit Portmeirion and Trefriw Woollen Mills

Created by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975, the unique and altogether magnificent Italianate village of Portmeirion combines spectacular gardens and architectural surprises at every turn. We then call in at the family-run Trefriw Woollen Mills where there’s an opportunity to buy traditional Welsh woollens and other locally crafted souvenirs. Back to the hotel for our treasure hunt and farewell dinner evening’s dinner.

Day 5 - Return home
